On July 27, Juche 110 (2021), the Seventh National Conference of War Veterans was held with splendour in the presence of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in front of the Monument to the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War.
After delivering a speech at the conference, he bowed to the war veterans as he did at the Sixth National Conference of War Veterans one year before.
On receiving his bow, war veterans were deeply moved as they thought it was himself who should receive the ardent thanks and greetings of best wishes of all the people in the country because he, entrusted with their destiny, was making painstaking efforts to defend their happiness and glorify their lives.
By saying that the country today is inconceivable without recalling the sweat and blood shed by the victorious wartime generation, he put forward them as a proud generation that created a new chapter in carrying forward the Korean revolution. His warm affection for and trust in them was the greatest honour for them.
