DPRK Premier Inspects Several Sectors

 Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and premier of the Cabinet, inspected various sectors.

 Going round various farms in Sukchon and Mundok counties of South Phyongan Province, the premier stressed the need to scientifically analyze the growth of rice and other crops, properly manure and tend them, actively apply advanced farming methods and techniques and take thorough measures to minimize the damage caused by disastrous abnormal weather such as flood and rainy wind.

 He called for making full preparations for next year's farming on the basis of the experience gained in cultivating wheat and barley this year and for paying due attention to increasing the wheat processing capacity and techniques.

 After learning about the production of the Kusong Machine Tool Factory, he called on its officials and workers to concentrate all efforts on its modernization true to the intention of the Party to put the country's machine-building industry on a new level.

 He called for making innovative plans for remodeling and updating including the layout of production processes and architectural formation plan according to the standards and goals set forth by the Party and for making thorough technical preparations for each process and stage.

 While visiting the Mangyongdae Signpost Factory, he said that the factory has a very important duty in sprucing up the appearance of roads. And he stressed the need to put the production processes on a scientific basis and steadily increase the production capacity to supply various kinds of quality signposts.

 The field consultative meetings discussed the issue of conducting the work for raising enthusiasm for emulation in the agricultural field in a methodical way, building up the scientific and technological forces needed for modernizing the factory and the issue of putting all plans including industrial architectural design and process composition on a high scientific and technological basis, and took relevant measures.
