Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, inspected various sectors of South Hwanghae and North Phyongan provinces.

 Learning in detail about the implementation of the immediate farming processes at the Samjigang Farm in Jaeryong County, the Sinchon Farm in Jongju City and the Sinphyong Farm in Pakchon County, he called upon the officials of the agricultural guidance organs to give scientific guidance to farming in conformity with the geographical conditions and the characteristics of species of crops and, at the same time, work out detailed and step-wise goals and plans for raising the rate of mechanization of farm work and carry them out in a substantial way.

 At the construction site for regional-industry factories in Jaeryong County, he encouraged soldier-builders upholding the Party's policy for regional development with bold practices. Going round the Raw Material Base Station No. 1 in Jaeryong County and the Jongju City Raw Material Base Station, he called for pushing ahead with the work to consolidate the material and technical foundations of the raw materials bases in a planned and long-term way so that the regional-industry factories to be built in all cities and counties can prove effective.

 He visited the Jongju Tractor Accessory Factory and stressed the need to step up the readjustment and reinforcement project, including the modernization of production lines and equipment, and enhance the role of technicians and skilled workers to bring about substantial improvement in the quality of products.

 At the Pakchon Silk Mill, the Pakchon County Food Administration Station and the Jongju Chicken Institute under the Academy of Poultry Science, he urged the officials and employees to fulfill their duty in implementing the Party's policies for improving the people's standard of living, mindful of the noble intention of the Party to provide the people with a more affluent life.

 Learning about the work of the Pakchon County People's Committee, he stressed the need for deputies to the people's assemblies at all levels to play a vanguard role in implementing the decisions of the Party Central Committee and indicated the ways for intensifying the socialist law-abiding life.
