Soaring Enthusiasm for Riding in the Mirim Area

The Mirim Riding Club is a favourite haunt for amateur riders.

Among them are some regular customers.

Han Suk Gyong, a guide at the club, said that many people have visited the club since its inauguration and the number is increasing as the days go by.

The visitors to the club use the bus running from Pyongyang Department Store No. 1 to the club, which offers a regular service for the visitors.

In the bus anybody says about horse riding.

Some “senior” amateurs are keen on explaining about riding for the beginners.

When they arrive at the club, they begin to learn riding in an indoor training ground and outdoor racing courses.

In the indoor training ground, they learn how to ride a horse with the help of the experienced horse riders, whereas children learn how to ride a pony.

In the riding knowledge learning area, students and children can acquire the knowledge of horse riding.

With the wind of riding rising, the club has newly established additional facilities for horse riding and is also stepping up the efforts to create conditions for boarding and lodging.

People say that a wind of riding is sweeping across the Mirim area.

When Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea visited the completed Mirim Riding Club on October 20, Juche 102 (2013), he said that a wind of roller skating was sweeping across Pyongyang, and a wind of horse riding would sweep the city soon.

Under the warm care of Kim Jong Un, a riding service centre was built in the Mirim area, creating a new term wind of riding amid the creation of new civilization in the era of the Workers’ Party.

Happy laughter of the people resounds in the venue.
