Premier Kim Tok Hun Inspects Various Sectors of Pyongyang Municipality

Premier Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, inspected various sectors in Pyongyang Municipality.

Going round the newly built Pyongyang Schoolchildren's Footwear Factory and the remodeled Pyongyang School Uniform Factory, the premier called upon the officials and employees to fulfill their responsibility in implementing the socialist policy for schoolchildren, true to the resolutions of the plenary meeting of the Party Central Committee, bearing in mind the noble intention of the Party to provide the schoolchildren with better uniforms and shoes.

He stressed the need to make full preparations for the inauguration of the factories, build up their sci-tech forces to revitalize production and constantly improve the technical skills of employees to effect new innovations in the production of seasonal shoes and uniforms suited to the characteristics of each school and school boys and girls.

At the State Hydro-meteorological Administration, the premier learned about the anticipated weather conditions for this year. And he called for putting the meteorological observation and forecast on a higher scientific basis and informing of weather data promptly and accurately to help take thorough advance measures against damage by disastrous weather.

Meanwhile, he visited the Ministry of Machine-building Industry, where he stressed the need to speed up the modernization of major machine factories and direct efforts to raising the quality of machinery, mindful of the intention of the Party Central Committee attaching importance to the machine industrial sector, in order to produce in good time high-performance machines and equipment necessary for different sectors of the national economy.
