Grand Banquet in Honour of Workers

A grand banquet was given for workers in celebration of May Day at the newly-built workers’ hostel of the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill in Juche 103 (2014).

Officials and other employees of the mill were in great excitement and joy as the banquet was arranged in honour of them on the occasion of May Day, the international holiday of working people of the whole world.

They were well aware of the fact how the hostel was built and how a grand banquet arranged for them.

In October Juche 102 (2013), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the mill and expressed his great satisfaction over the fact that its officials and weavers waged a vigorous campaign for normalizing production at a high level in hearty response to the call of the Workers’ Party of Korea to bring about a signal turn in the grand onward march for improving the people’s standard of living.

That day, he promised to build an excellent hostel for its employees true to the earnest request of Chairman Kim Jong Il, and personally designated its site and solved all problems arising in construction.

He also sent articles for cultural purpose to the employees who would live in the workers’ hostel without parallel in the world.

He visited the newly-built hostel in the run-up to May Day. Looking round bedrooms, mess hall, bath, beauty parlour, shop, clinic, library and other service facilities, he expressed great satisfaction over the fact that they have been built well in such a way as to provide hostellers with the best convenience, and made sure that a grand banquet was given in honour of its workers at the hostel in celebration of May Day.

Reflecting the unanimous wish of all workers across the country, the participants in the banquet extended their gratitude to Kim Jong Un who is adding eternal brilliance to the Korean-style socialist system where the workers are the masters of the country.
