Premier Kim Tok Hun Inspects Several Sectors of National Economy

Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and premier of the Cabinet, made a field survey of several sectors of the national economy.

Making a round of different production sites of the Taean Heavy Machine Complex, he called upon officials and workers to carry out the task for custom-built equipment by the appointed time without fail, bearing deep in mind again their duty in implementing the decisions made at the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Party.

He called for increasing the operating rate of equipment, supplying materials in time to carry out the production as scheduled and putting product designs on a scientific basis and ensuring the accuracy of finishing on a high level. 

At the unloading shop and steel casting shop  of the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, he stressed the necessity to steadily increase the power production by pushing ahead with the work for improving the capacity of unloading and transportation of coal and increasing the generating power on a long-term basis.

At the Tokchon Area Coal-Mining Complex, he called for giving priority to prospecting and tunneling to secure more reserve cutting faces and increasing the capacity of coal production through sufficient supply of equipment in cutting faces.

At the Mangyongdae Aeguk Aluminum Sash Factory, he called for pushing ahead with the work to mass-produce finishing building materials of various sizes on a long-term basis.

The field consultative meetings took measures after discussing the issue of further improving the officials' operation and command, the issue for relevant sectors and units to supply materials and products under contract necessary for custom-built equipment and power production, the issue of scrupulously organizing the production and management as required by the socialist system of responsible business operation and the issue of consistently accelerating the work to realize  local production of finishing building materials while regarding it as an important policy-oriented task.
